Tour summary:
Leisure and traditional safaris in the Eastern Coast of
Tanzania, cultural heritage at the coastal cities of Dar es
salaam and Bagamoyo where you can freely mix with tribal
people to practice and observe their lifestyle and relax on
the beautiful beach and view a scenic beauty and the ecology
of the Gezaulole village. Island of Zanzibar which is
characterised by beautiful sandy beaches with fringing coral
reefs, and the magic of historic Stone Town - said to be the
only functioning ancient town in East Africa.

Detailed Itineraries
Day 1: DAR ES SALAAM
After breakfast in Holiday inn hotel drive to Gezaulole
village for viewing the richness of scenic beauty and
history of oldest settlement with ruins of about 1,000 years
ago in the southern coast of Dar es salaam.
A tour in Gezaulole includes:
Visit to historical place (Mbwamaji) and see a four
centuries old mosque, a slave depot and old Muslim graves.
Visit around the village (under the guide of tour guide) to
see the local handicrafts produced there such as
woodcarving, pottery, mats and baskets.
Bicycle trip, rent a bicycle and explore the village on your
own. A guided tour to neighbouring villages is also possible
on request.
Cruise with local fishermen in the dhow to the unspoiled
island of Sinda on request. Observe the fishermen diving for
fish. You can even assist them. In the evening drive back to
Holiday inn hotel (B/B).
Day 2: BAGAMOYO
After breakfast, drive to Bagamoyo the historic town where
there is Kaole Ruins are a major attraction just south of
Bagamoyo. The ruins date back to the 13th C and consist of
two mosques and 30 tombs. The older of the two mosques is
thought to date to the third or fourth C, making it the
oldest mosque on the mainland of East Africa. The mosque
provides evidence indicating early contact between Africa
and the Islamic world. Also in the afternoon you can relax
on a beautiful beach on the coast of Bagamoyo. In evening go
to Paradise Holiday Resort for overnight (H/B).
Day 3-7: ZANZIBAR
Early morning, drive to Dar es Salaam to connection a speed
boat or flight to Zanzibar and transfer to Dhow palace hotel
for breakfast. Late morning start an historical walking tour
of Stone Town. Free time in the evening, is for you to
explore further on your own or to relax. Overnight in Dhow
palace hotel (H/B).
Day 4:
After breakfast, starts a Spice Tour, where you will see
spices you have never seen before. Launch during the tour.
Afterwards, drive directly to the Dhow palace hotel for
overnight (H/B).
Day 5:
On this day you will be transferred to Karafuu beach hotel
for relaxing, swimming and sunbathe on the snow white
beaches of the East Coast or at the hotel's own swimming
pool. Also scuba dive can be arranged on request. (H/B)
Day 6:
Visit to Jambiani Village Tour to learn about the Zanzibar
culture and traditions. At noon drive further south at
Kizimkazi, to see and if you choose you may swim with the
dolphins. You will get launch there and in the evening drive
back to Karafuu beach hotel (H/B).
Day 7:
This is the day for leisure in different places and relaxing
in Karafuu beach hotel (H/B) while waiting for evening to be
transferred to the airport for a flight to Kilwa which is
depart at 17:30.
Day 8: KILWA KISIWANI AND SONGO MNARA ISLANDS
Arrive at Kilwa on 18:05 and drive to the hotel, dinner and
overnight in Kilwa seaview resort. After breakfast on the
next day start a historical tour. With packed launch drive
to Kilwa kivinje then sail by traditional dhow from mainland
to Kilwa Kisiwani and Songo mnara islands. In the evening
sail back to mainland, dinner and overnight in Kilwa seaview
resort (B/B).
Day 9: DAR ES SALAAM
Early morning take a flight to Dar es Salaam for city tour
and in the evening connect to your departure flight back
home.
