Summary Itineraries
Our itinerary gives you both Adventure & Relaxation: Climb
Kilimanjaro - Machame Route and afterwards take in the
history and culture of Zanzibar whilst relaxing by the
Indian Ocean!.

TRIP INFO:
The most adventurous, but technical, climbing skills
required. This trip is popular - a bit more expensive but
worth it for frequent climbers. The climb crossing the rain
forest gives you an open view of the glacier when you reach
the Shira Plateau situated in the middle of the moorlands.
We have extremely qualified, knowledgeable and competent
mountain guides/porters with whom the success of your climb
will be greatly enhanced.
There are standard to luxurious lodges in Zanzibar. We have
chosen the Serena Inn in Stone Town on Zanzibar and Breezes
Beach on the East Coast of Zanzibar where we are sure you
will enjoy and experience the natural surroundings.

Detailed Itineraries
00: Your ARRIVAL DAY
We will meet you at the Airport and transfer you to your
Hotel for your overnight. BB.
DAY 1: MACHAME GATE {1800m} - MACHAME CAMP {3000m}
After breakfast drive from Arusha to the Machame Gate with
your lunch box in a 4WD vehicle, introduction to your guide
and porters. Registration is done and thereafter start climb
(Hiking /Trekking) with picnic lunch through rain forest for
approximately 4 to 5 hrs where you arrive to the Machame
Hut. Later afternoon walk up to a little higher altitude is
done for acclimatization. Return to Machame Hut for dinner
and overnight. FB
DAY 2: MACHAME CAMP {3000m} - SHIRA CAMP {3800m}
After breakfast, start climb through short Savannah forest
and other vegetation for approximately 4 to 5 hrs, with
picnic lunch en route before arriving in the afternoon at
the Shira Hut for dinner and overnight. FB
DAY 3: SHIRA CAMP {3800}
This extra day is needed for acclimatization purposes FB
DAY 4: SHIRA CAMP {3800m} - BARRANCO CAMP {3950m}
After breakfast a slow walk through semiglacier and sandy
areas with picnic lunch 3 to 4 hrs before arriving at the
Barranco Hut for dinner and overnight. FB
DAY 5: BARRANCO CAMP {3950m} - BARAFU CAMP {4600m}
After breakfast, with picnic lunch enroute climb through
glaciers for approximately 4 to 5 hours before arriving the
Barafu Camp for dinner and overnight. FB
DAY 6: BARAFU CAMP {4600m} - STELLA POINT {5750m} - UHURU
PEAK {5895m}
An early wake up call around 01.00hrs for preparation and
light breakfast before starting final ascent to the summit
i.e. either the Stella Point reached in approximately 5 to 6
hrs and a further ascent to the Uhuru Peak reached in
another approx 45minutes. After signing and short rest at
Barafu Camp descend via the Gilmans Point down to Mweka Camp
for an hours rest with light breakfast then descent down for
dinner and overnight at Mweka hut. FB
DAY 7: MWEKA CAMP {3100} - MWEKA GATE - ARUSHA
After breakfast, final descent to Mweka gate, thereafter say
Goodbye to your Guide/Porters and
connect a private transfers to Arusha for overnight at
Olmotonyi Forest Plantation Rest House. FB
ZANZIBAR BEACH HOLIDAY
Day 8: ARUSHA to ZANZIBAR
By Flight (Precission Air) departs Arusha at 11:00hrs and
arrive in Zanzibar at 12:15hrs, meet & greet at the airport
and transfer to your chosen hotel in town (Serena Inn) for
overnight. HB
Day 9: EXCURSION in ZANZIBAR
After breakfast, pickup from your hotel for any two tours
mentioned (Spice Tour, Historical Stone Town, Jozani Forest,
Prison Island or Sunset cruise), Dolphin tour on request.

Day 10: R & R (rest & relax)
At leisure and overnight at your hotel in town. HB
Day 11: STONE TOWN to EAST COAST
After breakfast transfer you to hotels at the East Coast
(Breezes Beach Club) for overnight. HB
Day 12 & 13: R & R
At leisure and overnight at your hotel. HB
Day 14: ZANZIBAR to DAR or ARUSHA or NAIROBI to HOME
Pickup from your East Coast hotel and transfer to Zanzibar
airport for your flight to Dar-Es-Salaam or Arusha
(Kilimanjaro Airport) or Nairobi (Jomokenyata Airport) in
connection to your departure flight back home.

TENT (camping) on KILI
LODGE in ZANZIBAR
PRICE INCLUDES:
** All park entrance fees
** Rescue fees, transfers to and from Kili gate

** Tansport, 4WD vehicle or minibus.
